Downtown MilwaukeeDowntown Milwaukee is the central hub for most transportation services in the region. The map below shows the most common routes and locations of the most popular services. This is not a map of the entire downtown area, but only the most common area for transfers.
Wisconsin Avenue is the main route for most MCTS lines, plus WCL 901, 905, 906, and WCCE's Downtown Milwaukee route. Most Wisconsin Avenue routes serve all of downtown between Marquette University and the Lakefront. Michigan Street is the route for WCL 907 and Racine/Kenosha service. 6th Street is the main route for MCTS 80 to Mitchell Airport and MCTS 143 Ozaukee County Express. The Milwaukee Intermodal Station (Amtrak and Greyhound) at 5th & St. Paul is a short walk (1/4 to 1/3 mile) to other connections shown. Airport Express and Megabus stop at the curb outside the station. The Badger Bus terminal is on James Lovell (7th) Street, just south of Wisconsin Avenue. NOTE: The Greyhound station moved from 7th St to its current location in November 2007. |
